Lets bake a combination of the classic apple crumble and a decadent blondie. This humble dish can be savoured as a dessert or a tea-time treat. The warm, moist and soft apple blondie base with a crispy, buttery crumble top is a crazy combination of textures and flavours.

Recipe
Yield: Approximately 6 servings
Ingredients:
– For the Crisp
- 65 grams All-purpose flour
- 85 grams cubed chilled Butter
- 75 grams Powdered Sugar
- 40 grams Rolled Oats
- 30 grams Chopped Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts)
- a dash of Cinnamon
– For the Blondie
- 115 grams of Melted Butter
- 30 grams of Melted White Chocolate
- 100 grams Powdered Sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Honey
- 1 Egg
- 160 grams All-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 peeled, cored, diced Apple
Method:
– For the Crisp
- In a mixing bowl, Add All-purpose flour and chilled cubed butter. Start rubbing the butter chunks into the flour, continue until a wet sand like consistency is obtained. You can use a food-processor or a fork for this step.
- Then add in the sugar, oats, nuts and cinnamon to the mix. Whisk it together until everything is well combined
- Refrigerate the mixture until we prepare the blondie batter.
– For the Blondie
- Melt butter and white chocolate in the microwave.
- Pour it to a large mixing bowl, add in sugar, honey and whisk it together.
- Break in an egg, add all-purpose flour and baking soda to it. Mix everything together thoroughly.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Line a baking tin with butter paper and pour the blodie batter into it. Spread the crisp mixture on top the batter.
- Bake it in a preheated oven at 325 degree f for aroung 25-30 minutes or until the top turns golden brown or a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cut a slice and Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla icream and a caramel.
Notes:
- It is necessary for the butter in the crisp recipe to be chilled, as it is going to provide us with the necessary crumbly texture.
- Spread the crumble evenly over the batter inorder to get an even binding between the two.
